How Do You Lose Weight?My friend asked me,”How do you lose weight?” Her doctor has recommended that she lose weight because carrying the extra weight could put her at risk for: type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, sleep apnea, asthma, arthritis, fatty liver, depression, and high cholesterol. She knows she’ll feel better; her clothes will fit better and she may be able to fit into those smaller sizes she hasn’t parted with yet because she planned to lose the weight – eventually.

She wants to lose weight to be able to play with her kids because right now she’s just too tired all the time. She wants to lose weight so she’ll feel better about herself because right now she’s just not real happy with the person that’s looking back at her in the mirror. But she just loves to eat and can’t seem to stop herself from eating that entire bag of chips or m & m’s, and she won’t stick with her gym membership because it doesn’t show results and she is self-conscious when she goes. I asked her why she was wasting money on a gym membership she wasn’t using.

Do YOU waste money on a gym membership that you’re not using? A gym where you have to go and figure out how to lose weight on your own? Where to hire a personal trainer is an additional fee, like $40/hr or more? Did you know that if you take the cost of P90X and divide it by 90(since it takes 90 days) this comes to approximately $1.33 per day to basically have a personal trainer in your house everyday for 90 days(for an hour!)? Then the cost goes down when you use that program over and over, then your husband or wife uses it, then your son/daughter. I LOVE to eat. Anyone that knows me can tell you this, especially my husband. I could easily weigh 300 lbs. I think I have 3 stomachs. I RARELY get full; actually I almost never get full. I can out eat my husband, and 24 year old sons. But I don’t do that because I CHOOSE not to weigh 300 lbs. It takes constant discipline because I just want to eat eat eat all the time!! I have also learned a lot in the past few years about nutrition and how different types of ingredients affect your body. I’ve learned what to avoid and what to embrace.
